Do you enjoy playing blues guitar, but are stuck in a rut? Nate Savage has created a guitar course that is meant to take you beyond the humdrum world of everyday blues scales and box shapes and into a world of unlimited blues self-expression.

Letter From Nate Savage

Why is it then that the majority of guitarist cannot get past the point of using the same old boring blues and minor pentatonic scale shapes and box patterns? Many guitar players simply get trapped into playing the same old blues scale box shapes again and again while falling deeper into a world of dull, run of the mill guitar playing.

The most common reason that this happens is because that the majority of time people who are just starting to learn how to play blues guitar learn a few box shapes and guitar licks from a DVD or book. This is fun for a bit, but the fun soon wares off. A lot of guitar players begin to recognize that they only know a few scale shapes and really have no knowledge of how to actually use blues scales or how the blues actually works.

Before I created the Blues Guitar Blueprint guitar course I asked myself two questions.

First I asked myself what would be the most useful form of music that every guitarist should learn?

Secondly I asked myself what are a few of the main challenges that guitarist have to deal with?

The answer to my first question came to me quite easily. The most useful form of music that every guitarist should learn is the blues, because the things that go into making up blues music can be heard in almost every style of music that is geared towards the guitar. If you develop a good foundation that is built on blues guitar playing then I truly believe that you can go onto learn any style of music that you want to.

The answer to my second question is that the main challenge for guitarists is to learn how to stop playing aimlessly through the same old scale shapes and begin learning how to use guitar scales to create music that is full of self-expression.

It was only after I answered these two questions that I created the DVD guitar course Blues Guitar Blueprint to teach guitarists how to fully understand how to play the blues, and not just to play blues scale box shapes.

The basic concept goes like this. What would you do if somebody handed you a huge stack of building materials and were to say, “now build me a house, there’s everything you’ll need”. I do not know about you but I certainly wouldn’t know where to start or what to do with all of that material. If you don’t have any instructions, plans, or blueprint where do you begin? It’s exactly the same as giving a guitarist a lot of blues scale box shapes and asking them to play the blues guitar”.

This course is a guide that is guaranteed to teach you to fully grasp the blues scale and teach you how to make use of it to really begin playing blues guitar. I am extremely excited about this course, because I know that it is truly going to assist many guitarists that are out there to at last get beyond their frustration of playing the same old scale over and over.
